| Since the late 1960’s graffiti has been a form of expression and became a new art form in the 70’s. During the early to mid 1980’s the writing culture deteriorated dramatically due to anti-graffiti campaigns. Since then, beautiful spray paint murals have been mainly underground. Well the wait is over; InkFest Live will tastefully bring it back to the limelight and provide a dedicated space for local and international street artists to demonstrate their skills. The graffiti scene has grown from tags and throw-ups, commonly associated with the art-form, to internationally acclaimed artists that redefine our perception of the art. InkFest Live supports these renegade artists and seeks to foster appreciation for their amazing masterpieces. InkFest Live will also feature a special art gallery where participating tattoo artists can display and sell their works of art. |
